Taking a fresh look at multi-unit housing, this 110 unit courtyard development on the central coast uses highly articulated repetitive modules to create the building form, rather than the traditional piecing together of different plans and trying to apply a facade to them. Our wholistic approach to the building design simultaneously increases efficiency and buildability whilst improving the building aesthetics.
Gosford Hospital Lobby Goes to Site
The latest in our ongoing collaborations with Compass Group, the Gosford Hospital lobby café and coffee shop is actually our third project on the Gosford Hospital site. An integrated architecture and construction project, the interiors have been designed to meld seamlessly in with the rest of the new building.
Northern Rivers Clubhouse
We recently completed this stunning private clubhouse at Eureka, inland from Byron Bay. A fastidious building produced through our Northern rivers satellite office, it comprises yoga room, gymnasium, sauna, steam room, spa, meditation decks and outdoor bar adjacent the tennis court. The sweeping form wraps the natural contours of the site to frame views in all directions, with a natural materiality the hymns both the landscape and the existing building.
Hamptons on the Hill
Going a little outside our comfort zone, we are putting the finishing touches on a Hampton’s inspired residence on the Dover Heights cliffs, just north of Bondi Beach. The site presented its own unique challenges, with cyclonic level wind loadings and chronically corrosive salty air. We worked closely with luxury home builders Horizon to ensure even the paint technology could withstanding these extreme elements.
Terragong in Print
Terragong in Print
Our great friend and long-time collaborator, Darryl Gordon’s stunning South Coast residence graced the pages of Belle recently. We worked with Darryl on the contemporary extensions to the heritage listed Georgian manor – using identical proportions to the existing residence to ensure that all elements of the property work together harmoniously.
New Typography for the NSW Coast
This project is one of multiple apartment developments we are currently undertaking on the Mid-North and Central Coasts of NSW. In this case, we inherited an existing DA proposal and were working with the clients to reduce the overall perceived bulk and scale of the development. Whilst apartment development in these areas respond to the demographic shift away from regional centres to remote working environments, the locals are still very wedded to a more suburban scale of development.
